A LETTER FROM PASTOR SCOTT
Faith Family and guests,
As we approached this Resurrection Sunday, my heart has been especially full.
This past week, I had the privilege of being in Brazil, working alongside brothers and
sisters in Christ to lay the foundation for future mission teams. It was a powerful reminder
that the gospel is not confined to one place, one people, or one moment—it is for the
world. Watching the church there labor faithfully and expectantly stirred something
fresh in me. It prepared my heart for Easter in a deeper way than I anticipated.
Easter reminds us that Jesus is alive—and because He lives, everything changes.
Through the resurrection, we are not just given comfort, or a slightly better version of
life. We are given new life. A transformed life. A resurrected life. But this new life is not
meant to be lived inwardly or comfortably—it is meant to be lived missionally.
Christ has not called us to new life simply so things would be easier or more managea-
ble. He has called us to new life so that we might be His witnesses. That we would be-
come His hands and feet in a broken world. That we would be His voice, boldly and
lovingly sharing the good news of the gospel.
This Easter, as we celebrate the victory over sin and death, may we also remember the
purpose that comes with that victory.
The same power that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in us—not just for our bene-
fit, but for the sake of others. For our neighbors. For our community. And for those
around the world who have not yet heard the name of Jesus or experienced the life-
changing power of the gospel.
