What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Existence
Everything that exists has a defined start date—except for God Himself who always existed. Everything else has been created as a result of God’s creativity and power.
Genesis 1:1-“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Doctrine of God (The Trinity)
We believe in one God eternally existing as one essence and three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, each of whom is fully God, yet there is one God.
• Deuteronomy 6:4 – “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.”
• Matthew 28:19 – “…baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
• 2 Corinthians 13:14 – “…the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”
Doctrine of Revelation
God has made Himself known to the world in Jesus Christ, the Scriptures, and creation.
• Hebrews 1:1–2 – “Long ago…God spoke…by the prophets, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son.”
• 2 Timothy 3:16 – “All Scripture is breathed out by God…”
• Romans 1:19–20 – “…His invisible attributes…have been clearly perceived…in the things that have been made.”
Doctrine of Creation and Providence
We believe that God created the world from nothing and governs all things at all times in all places.
• Genesis 1:1 – “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
• Colossians 1:16–17 – “For by Him all things were created…in Him all things hold together.”
• Hebrews 1:3 – “…He upholds the universe by the word of His power.”
Doctrine of Humanity
We believe that all humanity is created in the image of God and possesses intrinsic dignity and worth.
• Genesis 1:26–27 – “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.”
• Psalm 8:4–5 – “…You have crowned him with glory and honor.”
• James 3:9 – “…people who are made in the likeness of God.”
Doctrine of Sin
We believe that sin has fractured all things, leaving the world in desperate need of salvation.
• Genesis 3:6–7 – (The Fall of Man)
• Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
• Ephesians 2:1 – “And you were dead in the trespasses and sins.”
Doctrine of Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life, died as our substitute, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, serves as our High Priest, and will one day return as King.
• John 1:1–2, 14 – “In the beginning was the Word…The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”
• 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 – “…Christ died for our sins…He was buried…He was raised on the third day.”
• Hebrews 7:25–28 – “…He always lives to make intercession for them.”
• Colossians 1:15–19 – “He is the image of the invisible God…in Him all things hold together.”
• Acts 1:9; 1 Thessalonians 4:14–17 – (His ascension and promised return)

Doctrine of the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is divine and active. He convicts of sin, regenerates, indwells, seals, sanctifies, and gifts every believer for service.
• John 16:7–11 – “…He will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.”
• Titus 3:5 – “…He saved us…by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.”
•Ephesians 1:13–14 – “…you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit…”
•1 Corinthians 12:4–11 – “…the same Spirit…apportions to each one individually as He wills.”

Doctrine of Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
• Ephesians 2:8–9 – “…by grace you have been saved through faith…not a result of works.”
• Titus 3:5 – “…not because of works… but according to His mercy.”
• Romans 10:9 – “…if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him…you will be saved.”
Doctrine of the Church
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers united through faith, and sent into the world to proclaim His glory.
• Matthew 16:18 – “…I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
• Ephesians 1:22–23 – “…the church, which is His body…”
• 1 Peter 2:9 – “…that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness.”
Ordinances of the Church

Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:41; Romans 6:4
The Lord’s Supper: Symbolic memorial of Christ’s body and blood, observed until He returns.
1 Corinthians 11:23–26
Doctrine of New Creation
We believe that Jesus Christ will return to judge the living and the dead and to renew all things.
• Acts 17:31 – “…He has fixed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness…”
• 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 – “…the Lord Himself will descend from heaven…And the dead in Christ will rise first.”
• Revelation 21:1–5 – “…a new heaven and a new earth…Behold, I am making all things new.”
